Non-Combustible Flooring

Launched in December 2019, the External Wall Fire Review (EWS1) was introduced as a standardized process to monitor the external structures of all buildings over 18m in height, assessing their combustibility and consequently the extent of risk for residents. Properties that fail the EWS1 review, and accompanying EWS1 form, require the removal of flammable attachments, including balconies, to be replaced with more secure non-combustible materials.

With extensive experience and esteemed specialisms within commercial construction, Boa Contractors can guide you through the EWS1 process, helping with balcony retrofitting and structural refurbishments using market-leading aluminium-decking and paving solutions. These Class A, fire-rated decking and paving systems, complete with full substructure, are completely non-combustible, ensuring compliance with all recent fire legislation and therefore helping to guarantee the successful completion of the EWS1 process.
